I’m excited to be participating in the Twitter Art Exhibit 2016, a charity event in New York, NY hosting an international exhibition of original postcard art, benefiting Foster Pride’s “Handmade” Program, where young women in foster care learn to create and market unique items. The event will showcase the work of artists from emerging to established. My artwork is a 4 x 5.75 inch mixed media piece called ‘Night & Day’, which is a diversion from my usual medium. I enjoy dabbling in mixed media and plan on making more in the future.
The Exhibit takes place at the Trygve Lie Gallery from March 31st to April 21st, 2016. If you live in the New York City area and want to check it out, the gallery opening is on March 31st from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
Update: The Opening Night of the Twitter Art Exhibit 2016 was a success. There was over 1000 post card size works displayed from all over the world. Opening night alone brought in over $7000 in sales. Next year TAE 2017 will be held in the UK in Stratford on Avon in Warwickshire. The charity being supported by TAE next year will be Molly Olly’s Wishes, a charity which works helping children with serious illness and their families with financial and emotional support. I’m happy to have contributed to this great event.
